Community Education Director

Tina Prashad Brimo (she/her) is an immigrant from Guyana, a single mother, and a passionate advocate for children and families. She brings over a decade of experience in early childhood education—as a teacher, center director, and now as an Early Childhood Education advocate. Tina is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Education Leadership and Policy at American University.
After the passing of her daughter Simone’s father, Tina’s journey has been shaped by deep love, grief, and resilience. Her lived experiences fuel her commitment to building inclusive, compassionate communities.
She lives in Washington, DC, where she and Simone enjoy cooking meals that honor their heritage, nurturing their growing jungle of houseplants, and spending time exploring the city. Tina is excited to join IFFP and looks forward to growing in faith and connection with Simone by her side.
