Learn

Learn about IFFP’s educational programs for children, teens, and adults.

As a community, we celebrate, explore, question, and enjoy Jewish and Christian traditions equally. IFFP members honor our distinct religious traditions and share them with spouses, partners, and children. Our commitment to this inclusive approach is the hallmark of our Sunday School and Adult Group discussions. Together, we are raising our interfaith children to feel proud of their dual heritage.

Interfaith Sunday School

The Interfaith Families Project’s Sunday School meets in person in Rockville, Maryland, and virtually for our distance members via Zoom. We serve interfaith families with children in preschool through 8th grade. Visitors are welcome!

In-Person Sunday School

Children learn about our religious traditions, question them, and develop their own understanding of and relationship with these traditions. Learn about our Sunday School for children pre-K through 6th grade.

Coming of Age (COA) Program

COA is a two-year program spanning 7th and 8th grade years. Students will continue to deepen their understandings of both heritages and their relations with each, but also brings all these aspects together to explore their own identity and relation to the world through the lens of six big questions. Learn about our Coming of Age Program (7th & 8th grade).

Virtual Sunday School

In 2020, IFFP created a virtual program for our Sunday School. While built out of necessity, the program now flourishes with families participating from across the country and around the world. Learn about virtual Sunday School.

Adult Learning

At IFFP, we believe that developing our understanding and experience of religion and spirituality is a life-long process. Thus, we offer programs for religious education for adults as well as for children. Our primary offering is in the form of Adult Group discussions with invited speakers or led by a member of our community or clergy. Adult Group takes place at the same time as Sunday School, immediately follows our weekly Sunday Gathering. Learn more about Adult Education at IFFP.
