
Tracy Katz has been an auditor with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Inspector
General, Office of Audit, since July 1991. Mr. Katz is currently an Audit Director of The
Office of Statistics, Legal and International Programs Internal Operations Programs and
OIG Contract Monitoring Oversight. As an Audit Director, Mr. Katz is responsible for
leading performance audits of multi-million-dollar U.S. Department of Labor programs
that are high-profile and national in scope. He currently oversees a team of auditors
located in 4 states and the District of Columbia. Mr. Katz has been the recipient of
multiple performance excellence awards, including the Council of the Inspectors
General on Integrity and Efficiency Award and the Department of Labor Secretary’s
Exceptional Achievement Award.
Mr. Katz received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Frostburg State University. While at Frostburg, Mr. Katz was the personal director and a disc jockey at the campus radio station WFWM. Mr. Katz currently resides in Olney, Maryland, with his wife, Diane. They have been members of the Interfaith Families Project since 1998. They have two sons, Aaron and Daniel, who both completed the Interfaith Families Project education program. Mr. Katz’s current interests include attending concerts, hiking, and culinary adventures.
