Unveiling Our 30th Anniversary Theme: Diving for Pearls

It is with great pleasure that we introduce IFFP’s theme for 2024-2025. As our community enters our 30th year, we found inspiration in the traditional 30th-anniversary gift tradition – pearls. Using this as our inspiration, we arrived at a theme that we believe will give us all much to explore and discover together: “Diving for Pearls.”

This expansive theme and our collective approach to it will honor the treasure that the IFFP community embodies. We will delve into the pearls of wisdom found in our traditions, experiences, and life together. Our history, religious diversity, and growth have given us an abundance from which to share and the desire to keep diving deep for these precious pearls that enhance our lives.

Pearls, as a metaphor, works in many different ways. Pearls only grow from an initial irritation, pearls must be sought (often with great difficulty and peril), pearls are treasured both as wealth and also as inheritance, and pearls come in different shapes, sizes, and colors. IFFP has much in common with all of these characteristics, and we are looking forward to diving into these links and others we have yet to imagine.

Join us in examination, discovery and celebration as we embark on the 30th year of our interfaith journey together, and as we look forward to many years to come!

With joy and anticipation,

Rev. Sam and Rabbi Debbie
