Lyle Isaacs and his wife Suzanne joined IFFP in 2014, many years after being married by IFFPs clergy emeritus Rabbi Harold White and Reverend Julia Jarvis. His older daughter Claire recently completed the coming-of-age program whereas younger daughter Rachel continues with the IFFP Sunday School program. Over the years Lyle has served on the IFFP safety team, sound team, and finance committee and looks forward to serving on the board. Lyle’s studies of chemistry have taken him from the Bronx to Chicago to Los Angeles to Zurich to Boston before finally landing in Maryland where he is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Maryland, College Park. Lyle’s research focuses on the preparation of molecular scale containers that function as in vivo sequestrants for toxic substances like methamphetamine and fentanyl.
