An Interfaith Prayer for Peace

Hands praying for peace

We write to you with heavy hearts as the violence in Israel and Gaza continues.

As we, and the world, watch these events unfold, we do not need to do so passively. The stories of our traditions teach that prayer is active and powerful. We invite you and your families to pray for peace in this region and across the world. Wherever you are, may you know that you do not pray this prayer alone, but as members of a community seeking to build a world where peace, love, and harmony are possible.

We pray together:

Source of life and love, we pray for peace in our world. We seek peace in our hearts, a peace that transcends all understanding, that heals all wounds, that reconciles all conflicts. Grant us the wisdom to seek peace, to pursue dialogue, to embrace diversity, to respect dignity, and to uphold justice.

May we be blessed with peace, a peace that is a gift and a responsibility, that is a promise and a challenge, that is a hope and a reality.

And let us say, Amen.

As always, please know that we, as well as the IFFP Care Team, are here as sources of support during this time.

With love,
