Interfaith Families Project Celebrates 30 Years of Community, Faith, and Friendship
Washington, D.C. — October 2025 — This fall marks a remarkable milestone for the Interfaith Families Project (IFFP): 30 years of celebrating and learning together as an inclusive community of Jewish and Christian families. For three decades, IFFP has been a home where interfaith families gather to explore spirituality, raise their children with understanding and respect for both traditions, and build friendships that extend far beyond Sunday mornings.
On Saturday, October 18, 2025, IFFP will honor this legacy with a day of gratitude, music, and community connection — reflecting on how far we’ve come and envisioning the future we continue to build together.
Morning Anniversary Gathering — Free and Open to All
10:30–11:30 AM | Sanctuary & Online
This special Gathering will feature live music performed by past and current IFFP members, reflections from Rabbi Debbie Reichmann and Reverend Sam Gonzalez-Block, and tributes to the founding members, staff, and community leaders who have shaped IFFP’s story.
The morning celebration is free to attend, with limited seating available. Those unable to join in person are warmly invited to participate online via Zoom.
Afternoon Party Celebration — Ticketed Event (Now Sold Out)
12:00–3:00 PM | Fellowship Hall
The afternoon celebration will include lunch, music, and joyful connection as generations of IFFP families gather to dance, share stories, and honor this extraordinary milestone. Tickets for this portion of the event are now sold out, reflecting the overwhelming excitement and love within the community.
“I see one of the couples, from the interfaith families community I now serve in Maryland, holding hands during one of our Gatherings. I recall the adversity they pushed through in order to marry the person they love – and find this place of solid welcome. And I feel blessed to be their pastor and inspired by their courage to be trailblazers.” -Reverend Samantha Gonzalez-Block
As IFFP celebrates its 30th year, the community looks toward the future with gratitude and hope — continuing to create a space where people of all faiths and backgrounds can belong, learn, and grow together.
