Interfaith Sunday School: In-Person & Virtual Options

The Interfaith Families Project (IFFP) offers a welcoming, inclusive interfaith Sunday School experience for children and teens. Whether in person in Rockville, Maryland, or virtually via Zoom, our interfaith education program provides a rich learning environment for families from diverse religious backgrounds.

A Unique Approach to Children’s Sunday School

IFFP’s Sunday School curriculum was developed by parents who wanted their children to explore faith learning in a way that respects and celebrates religious diversity. We offer engaging classes for pre-K through 6th grade, a Coming of Age Program for 7th and 8th graders, and a Teen Group that keeps older youth engaged in community service, faith exploration, and interfaith discussions.

What We Teach

Our curriculum focuses on Judaism and Christianity, encouraging children to learn about religious traditions, ask questions, and develop their own understanding of faith. Through engaging Sunday School activities, we promote spiritual development for kids in a fun, open, and inclusive environment.

  • Faith-based learning: Stories, discussions, and interactive projects
  • Interfaith youth programs: Exploring multiple religious traditions
  • Values education: Teaching kindness, justice, and ethical decision-making
  • Virtual Sunday School options for flexible participation

Learn About Thorny Issues

Children are naturally curious! We address big questions about faith, including topics like Jesus, miracles, and religious traditions, in a way that fosters understanding and critical thinking.

Our Goals: Building an Inclusive Community

IFFP’s Sunday School programs prioritize emotional, social, spiritual, and ethical development. Our goal is to create a supportive space where children can:

  • Explore religious diversity education
  • Develop a personal sense of spirituality
  • Participate in faith-building activities for kids
